Keyboard Shortcuts Missing

I have had AutoCAD LT for 3 months and it has been great. But all of a sudden it is not recognizing the shortcuts like "L" for line, and "M" for move. I use my keyboard more than the toolbar and this is driving me crazy!

Where did they go and how do I get them back?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

First try a reboot of the box.

Failing that the alias' are in a file called ACADLT.PGP.  If you go to Tools > Customize > Edit Program Parameters there is a selection for the PGP file.

If you want the file outside of ACAD, OOTB  it is stored at:

C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD LT 2012 - English\UserDataCache\Support

This path should also be in your FILES  in OPTIONS > Files Tab > Support files search path.

HTH

Thank you so much...but I am not a CAD smartie.

1. I don't even know how to "reboot the box"

2. I went to tools...Parameters it said "File acadlt.pgp could not be found."

Does this mean I need to find them on the C drive?

Thanks for your help...sorry I'm a CAD dummie.

Yes you will need to find that file on the C drive. Windows Explorer can help you with that if you are familiar with search. If you, by chance, do find it, copy it and paste a copy of it to the directory (folder) mentioned in my first post.

1) Reboot the box = restart the computer.

2) That's yer problem.  The alias file (PGP) file is missing. Perhaps it is corrupt or it has been moved by anorther user.

Solution = find a PGP file on another user's box (computer) or do a repair install from the installation format that you used (disk? download?).

That ACADLT.PGP file must be present for your alias' to function.

There are other options but we will move one step at a time for you to grab the concept here.

DJ
