am installing AutoCAD LT 2000i onto a Win95 environment but am getting a
couple of errors. When I select the COMPACT install method, it all runs fine
until I get an error message that my DCOM95 already installed is a newer
version. I am told that I should uninstall that version and run install again.
If I OK that error message I get another of “Setup is unable to run a program
needed to proceed with the installation. Restart your computer and try again.
Error 105”. Re-running install gets me the same thing. Is the second error
message to do with the first DCOM error? I cannot roll back the DCOM95 (I will
be honest, cannot even find a way to do that!) as we need the version
installed for other applications. I tried looking on the normal supprot area
before posting this but it must be down, get a “Following Error Occurred Err
Number :--2147352567 Err Description:-"" “ message when I try and go
there.

work in the PC Support area of our company and do not use AutoCAD at all. Are
you saying I should go back to the customer and tell them to upgrade, even
though the box says it is fine with Win95?
Thanks for replying!
