Importing shx and lin files from Autocad LT 2011

I was hoping someone may be able to help with how to import shx and lin files from Autcad LT2011 to version 2013. Each time we upgrade over the years it has been a simple task of saving the 2 files into the program file/autodesk folder however when we try to do this with LT 2013 it doesnt recognise the files. They are from another program called Artisan which uses the Autocad platform. The file extensions are: Artisan.shx and Atrisan.lin. Any clues?

If AutoCAD can find them, it will use them: most likely your location is not in LT's search path (OPTIONS command's FILES tab, top listing).

Thanks very much for your reply - I worked out that the problem was that Windows 7would only permit the 'administrator' to modify files or folders so I changed the permission to "users' in Program Files/Properties//Security and it then accepted the new files. Phew
