How to explode minserted objects?

I received a drawing file and I am using AutoCad LT to edit it. I cannot explode a block which has many identical small cells in it. The error message says the block was minserted. How can I edit this minseted block? Thanks

It would appear the sender did not want you to do what you are trying to do:
might want to ask permission from the author first, then ask for a file with
no MINSERTed blocks.

Bring up the minsert's properties.  Change the
"columns" and "rows" to 1, then change the "column spacing" and "row spacing" to
0.  Now you should be able to refedit the block.  When you are done,
you can re-establish the rows and columns.  You won't be able to explode it
though.

Thanks Dean and Daniel. The AutoCAD file I am working on is actually extracted from a GDSII file. I got the problem solved by going back to GDS2DXF converter and chose the cell structure I wanted to edit and extracted it. Now I get a single cell and can edit it.

I run AutoCAD LT2002. The knowledge base implies that MINSERT works in ACAD LT2002 but this does not seem to be the case. ACAD LT2002 Help also has some discussion of MINSERT but it is confusing.

Question: Is MINSERT supported in ACAD LT2002?

The ACAD LT2000 help says that an MINSERT block can be "exploded" if the rows or columns are changed to "1x1" but the properties box does not allow changing the row or column values. They are "greyed". I have EXPLMODE set to 1.

Question: Does ACAD LT2002 allow changing the properties of an MINSERT block as implied by the Help? If so, how?
