Help ! Revdate Error getting on my nerves

Ok. AutoCAD LT 2002. Revdate command produces a block that updates
filename and time. It has benn malfunctioning, giving me the following:

Command: _revdate
Error: bad argument type: stringp nil

It did work for awhile but now it is malfunctioning again., what would
cause this.
Thank you in advance.

Check the block name that is being created, and see if by any chance you
have a similar block or external file with the same name found in the
AutoCAD program's search path (OPTIONS>Files tab will show you which folders
LT searches). Remove it, then try the command again.
