Fixing Line weight when printing

I also use SpaceClaim 3D.

Generated drawing and created dwg. file.

Drawing looks good in AutoCad LT on screen.

Print Preview shows very heavy lines for dimension lines.

Dimension layer shows "Default" line weight.

Both print preview and actual printing has very heavy line weights for Dimension lines.

Not sure what to do to correct.

Do you a plot style table?
or rely on LWEIGHT settings found in the LAYER palette?
Are the objects drawn BYLAYER, or are they individually set to unique LWEIGHT settings?
or are these objects PLINES with defined width settings?

So many questions, but your post tells us nothing except that the layer is set to whatever 'default' may be, which could be thin or thick or irrelevant.

Find out and share more infor, or post the DWG here.

Hello genrevengineering,  Could you provide the requested information if this problem is still happening so that we may help?

I replied once to the requested information and now did not save reply and
don't have the request questions.

Yes, I continue to have the line weight issues particularly when doing a
print preview and when printing a small format.

The line weights look ok on the drawing but when printing the dimension line
weight is so wide that the arrow looks like a point on the end of the line.

Please see post two in this thread and provide what is asked there.

Posting the drawing AND your Plotstyle file will help. My thought is that the Color in the Plotstyle table is set to a heavy lineweight.

Here is the drawing I am having problems with line weight on the dimensions regard heavy lineweight during printing.

I'm not sure how to download the Monochrome Plot Style.  I can find it from AutoCad LT Manager files but can not seem to find it in the latter tree.

In the Tray at the bottom of your Screen turn on Lineweight. You will see all that is "fat"

There is an override of the Lineweight for these Entities that is set to .35

Set SELECTSIMILARMODE to 2, right click one of your Dimensions and in the Property window set the Lineweight to .25.

Do this for each "fat" entity.

This fix worked on the lines. Thank you very much.

Glad it did.

I forgot to let you know to Right Click and Select Similar from the drop down menu to grab a bunch at once after setting the Similar mode.
