Drawing lines - line missing

Hi,

heres a thing that has just started. Whren i draw i line, i cannot see the line until i have completed it. When i click the first point, i have a clear screen. The line only appears after i have clicked the second point.

Has anyone else had this before? other people in my team dont have this issue.

thanks

nigel

Are you all using the same Background color?

Is your UCS rotate?

This happens in all files, including if you start a NEW file?

Hi Charles

yes we are. Oddly enough, if i draw a circle, arc or rectangle in the same layer, i can see them as they are drawn. Its only the straight lines that i cannot see.

Cheers

I think the Temporary line that is the PLINE is the same color as your background but I do not know which one to change under Options, Display tab.

If I draw a Line or Pline the temporary line is not of the same layer color as the color of the layer that the entity is being drawn on until I end the command with that second click. (read that sentence three times. I know I did)

Circles on the other hand do draw as the layer color it is being drawn on, I mean the actual circle. Within, the Radius has a linear line that is being drawn that is not of the same layer color. Do you see this radius line as well when drawing a circle?

Hi Charles,

i havent changed my background colour for at least 12 months but ive only had this problem really for the last 2 weeks. I have just changed by background colour to mustard. the temporary line is very light grey. Its nearly impossible to see it. i get the same line when i draw an arc. The arc itself is visible but the temporary line is very light grey. Same with splines.

thanks
