Downloading emailed files

Hi,

I am a cnc programmer for a counter top shop. I have people that send me dxf files of kitchens. When I open these files the text height and dimension settings are very small. Every time I open a file I have to go through and change all of them. Is there any way I can force the files to use the dimension and text settings I want to use? The people I get the files from are not using autocad they are using a templating system and I don’t think they can just change the settings on there end before they e-mail me the templates. Can u please help me?

Thanks,
Jesse Pardue

If you can guess each file's settings before you get them, simply inserting
them into a template file would fix it.
But that's a tall order if you have more than a handful of customers and
they all obey their own drafting rules all the time.
