Custom line will not work properly when loaded from a pallete

Hey there, I have an issue where I have my custome lines on a pallete, and when I first use them in a drawing, only the first letter will show up. I then have to manualy load the line, and regen to get it to show up properly. Here's what my lt code looks like.

*18AWG,[---18AWG---18AWG---]
A,30,-2,["1",DMX STANDARD,S=1,R=0.0,X=0,Y=-3],-4,["8",DMX STANDARD,S=1,R=0.0,X=0,Y=-3],-6,5,-2,["A",DMX STANDARD,S=1,R=0.0,X=0,Y=-3],-4,-2,["W",DMX STANDARD,S=1,R=0.0,X=0,Y=-3],-4,-2,["G",DMX STANDARD,S=1,R=0.0,X=0,Y=-3],-7,5

Thanks in advance :) Edited by: zakvacula on Jan 5, 2010 8:49 PM

Where did you get that code? Post a dwg with the final result if you can.

Here's when I make the line with a button from the tool palette.

Then I can load the line into the drawing and regen, and the whole string shows up.

Ohh, and I created the code myself.

Hmm, for some reason I was expecting something more, forgive the word,
Impressive with all that code :))

Why did you write each letter out? Why not simplify (not tested)...

*18-AWG,Hot water supply ---- 18-AWG ---- 18-AWG ---- 18-AWG ----
A,30,-2,["18-AWG",STANDARD,S=1,R=0.0,X=-0.1,Y=-3],-7,5

Because I always use it in splines and curves, and that makes the letters follow the line alot better than all one string.
