Any info on conversions of this type is appreciated.
This sounds as if the converter created a drawing where the X and Y
axes of a saved UCS aren't perpendicular to each other. AutoCAD will
correct this and let's you know that it does.

currently converting 2D files from CCD (2D Catia) to Autocad '.dwg' format
& am experiencing some problems, eg:
1.Line weights attached to
elements in CCD files
are not carrying through to dwg files.
2.Some symbols in CCD files (such as 'triangle')
recognised & display as '?'.
3. Some CCD details which should convert
4. When opening converted
files, message is displayed:
Non-perpendicular UCS X
& Y axes: normalising.
