Conflict between Acrobat Distiller and ACAD?

Having set up a template file with standard page setups so that everyone can print PDFs of our standard pages, I've noticed a few irregularities.

The main (and most annoying) one is that ACAD seems to switch paper size in the Plot dialogue box. For instance, I made a page setup called 'A1 PDF', with a plot configuration of 'Acrobat Distiller A1.pc3', a view of 'A1' and a paper size of 'A1 pdf'. The configurations are on the server, and I made sure I defined the forms in exactly the same way through Window's Printer dialogue box on every workstation. This works for about two thirds of the office workstations. The others, however, try to change the paper size to, say, A2 pdf. Everything else is the same, the A1 pdf paper size is accessible from the pull down menu, and if you change it manually it plots fine.

To be honest, I'd be happy with this. It works for most of us, and it only takes a little common sense to check the paper size and change accordingly, but it does kind of make a mockery of the whole idea of standard templates and page setups on the server. Anyone else have these problems? Anyone found an acceptable work-around? Cheers

I read your post twice, not sure where the 'problem' is: must be a slow
morning for me 😞

I personally, if setting up a plotting standard like you are, would skip the
user input altogether, write -LAYER macros to run through the setup as
exactly needed and plot. All the user does is make the initial selection.
