Changing default view in File Open dialog

Hi,

I'm running AutoCAD LT 2000i on WinXP Pro. I would like to change the default view in the File -> Open menu ('open' on the command line). Right now, when I go to open a file, the dialog defaults to the 'Icons' view. I prefer the 'List' view, and it is annoying to change it every time I go to open a file. Is there a way to change it? I haven't been able to find anything in the help file about this.
