Changing Shape of a Viewport

Is it possible to create a new view port with 5 or more grips, or modify an existing rectangle. i have search everywhere but still no joy.

You can modify polygonal viewports with LT but you can not create them. Use
the attached template to copy/paste the shape you want.

LT cannot create polygon viewports, only manipulate them. Hence the need to cut and paste.

There must be a way to make these polygonal viewports probably from other AutoCAD software? I guess. Do you know how I can get this information? Can AutoCAD 2005 or 2006 Full version can do it? If can How to do it?

The viewports were made using full autocad I do believe. That is the point of the gift above since LT won't.

Try searching the 2006 or 2005 discussion group, not the LT group and you should find your answer. LT will not create these viewports. Search this sight to see if there is an add-on but I don't beleive there is.

HII I M A NEWBIE IN AUTOCAD BUT HAVE A HOBBY TO SEARCH EVERY THING 

 

I THINK I HAVE YOUR ANSWER...

 

GO TO TO VIEW TAB IN THE TOOL BAR....THERE U FIND A VIEW PORT LINK WITH SIDE ROLL MENU.....IN THERE U WILL BE SEEING A LINK NAMED POLYGONAL VIEPORT.......

 

THIS HOW U CAN CREATE ANY SHAPE OF VIEW PORT U NEED

You've latched on to a very old thread that for the most part has been cured in LT since the year 2006.
