Blocks - counting

Hi,

cna there be a way of automating block counts or, count blocks per name without the long arduous task of quick select? i have 2 blocks. each block ( depending on drawing ) will have lots of instances say between 30 & 600. I need a way to quickly count these wither by macro or other simple method into a table or something. Is this possible?

Set the variable selectsimilarmode to 128

then use the command selectsimilar and pick any block you want. Take a look in the help file you can change selectsimilarmode to pick up on a variety properties.
