Autocad LT 2002 Gedit Error

Hi to all, I use Autocad LT 2002 on WindowsXP;  a few days ago the license of Norton Antivirus expired, so some days without protection are passed.

However today i installed the Norton Internet Security 2012... but now after a few commands, Autocad LT 2002 crashes with the "Internal Error: Gedit 3" message.

I already tried the patch SP1 (Italian), but the error keeps going out.

Thanks in advance.

Dump Norton.  It is a known enemy of AutoCAD.

>>>Here<<< is a fix if you wanna fight it.

Regards,

DJ

Well, i tried to use the Gedit 3 patch but did not work, (i can't install English Locked and English Unloked version of the SP1)... but using the file that Willfogg posted on this thread works well.

It might be to help for someone.

Thanks anyway

same exact problem as michele. New Norton = Gedit 3 Error.

I tried the Willfogg file but get an error 114.

Restore the OS to prior to the Norton install.

If that works do as suggested above and dump the Norton.

Any recommendations on Security Software known to be compatable with ACLT?

The OP might want to read  >>>this<<<  first and see if it applies to them.

Drop the Norton products.

Upgrade LT to a current release.

Two known solutions.

I replaced my Norton Antivirus program with VIPRE last night.  I am still getting the GEDIT 3 error.  I also received it in the iterim between removing Norton and installing VIPRE.  I don't think Norton is the problem.

Is there a similar patch for Windows XP users?

Try removing Adobe Reader & updates.

Did removing Adobe fix the problem. because I am having the same problem with the GEDIT 3 after having my computer fixed and the repair company removed AVG and installed Norton.
