AutoCad Lt startsup and then screen shuts off

I have used a copy of AutoCad Lt (bought thru Amazon) for about 9 months. Recently I got a Google Redirect Virus on my PC and took it to a computer service company which put it thru a series of anti virus and malware programs to remove the virus. Since then Autocad has not worked. I have tried reloading the software using both the repair and reload functions of the program with the same results. (no program). What should i do? I can do a complete uninstall and reinstall if you think it best.  Don't know if there are issues with a graphics card (all other programs work), an internal setting, Windows XP or something else. It would be nice if Autodesk had a real person in their service department which one could talk to!

What are my options?

Welcome to the Autodesk Forums!

I suspect that the Service Company ran a Registry Cleaner on your system and removed some Autodesk files form the LT install in the process.

A repair install may set you straight and is worth trying assuming you have the disk.

*First if you wish to go thru the reinstall:

After an infection like that you ought to reformat your HD, reinstall the OS and al of your applications froms scratch IMHO. Any other solution is just a bandaid/shortcut that is ill-advised.

Back up any and all critical data files first.

If you want to talk to Autodesk, you need to buy a subscription: or pay a local Autodesk Reseller a service fee/contract to do the same. Time is money, you license purchase 9-months earlier is not going to pay for anyone's time for a problem not created by them.
