Annotation

Hi All,

How do I make the mleader and dimension display in correct scale 1:5?

Both dimension and mleader style are set to annotative and should as I

understand follow the viewport scale of 1:5.

The funny thing is that some drawings with the same settings show

dimensions and mleaders with correct scale.

Please advice,

Martti

DDIM - Scale factor 1-50 - Modify - Primary Units - Change scale

Thank You Alan,

I discovered that by changing the Annotation scale in Properties - Miscellaneous one can

set the scale of those items.

...or type OBJECTSCALE, select the objects that you want to display at the correct annotative scale press enter and in the window that appears click Add... and add the viewport scale. Or type in -OBJECTSCALE and proceed at the command line if you don't like dialogs.

You don't have to select only annotative objects, you can select all objects in the drawing, apply OBJECTSCALE and AutoCAD will filter out only annotative objects and proceed with the command. This is useful if your drawing is very busy and selecting only certain objects is not easy. It is also more advantageous than using the Properties window as the Porperties window will not let you adjust annotation scale of objects if you have selected anything other than annotative objects.

Now, if you want your dimensions and mleaders to display automatically at the correct scale each time you change the viewport scale set ANNOAUTOSCALE to anything other than 0, best  to 4. Careful though as it will add the newly set annotative scale to all annotative objects in the drawing whether they appear in the viewport or not. Hope this helps.
