Add ons for AutoCAD LT

I'm responsible for maintaining and updating CAD office building floor plans for five bldgs (anything from workstation layout, structured cabling, electrical, HVAC, etc.).
I'm currently using AutoCAD LT 2004, planning to upgrade to 2007 or 2008. I'd like to have access to electrical & HVAC symbols, with the option of completing electrical line dwgs & identify HVAC diffuser, duct and thermostat locations in each bldg.
To do this, would I require the Electrical and Mechanical add ons or is it as simple as purchasing a symbol library with the LT upgrade?
If I'd need the add ons, are they compatible with LT or do I need the complete version of AutoCAD?
Is there a different version of CAD that would better suit what I'm doing.....ie: Revit Building, Building Systems??

DCONLINE tab found in ADCENTER has tons of freebies, all you
need is a live Internet connection.

http://www.autodesk.com/estore , click on Partners Products
and Services, and see what else you can buy.

http://www.google.com is a wonder for finding stuff, free or
not, all over the Internet.

You are going to have to pay full price for LT2007 or
LT2008, you might still find LT2007 full version cheaper on
the Internet (try google).

If you've only ever used LT to do what you do, buying
anything fancier from Autodesk or anone else will simply
increase your workload in large measure as you will be
forced to redraw it all with the new methods.
