xref attributes

can you extract attributes from xrefs in the current dwg. my company xrefs in the exterior floor plan, individual unit plans and the grids. i want to provide a quick way of generating a door schedule, and want to attach a attribute (door number) to a typical door - and extract the door number and door scale (size) to a file. any comments on door schedules from floor plans are welcome.

Look up ATTEXT command in HELP: also click on the Procedures and Concepts
tabs at the top of the help page for that command and review expanded help
with the concept.

Learning Assistance CD that came with AutoCAD/LT can also be very helpful.

>can you extract attributes from xrefs
