perpendicular snap too strong

Is there any way to adjust the strength of individual snaps? My perpendicular snap overrides everything. If I hover over a corner I have an intersection and 2 ends but perpendicular is what I get. I have to come in at an angle to see anything else.

I don't want to turn perpendicular off - it's an important part of my workflow. But I'd like to be able to prevent if from always being the snap AutoCAD chooses to present.

Thanks in advance for any advice you've got.

That one and NEA do override others: no fix other than zooming in tight for better control, or cycling through the active ones you have set to get to the one you want (TAB key), typing an override (either INT or END or whatever or a sticky key combo like SHIFT+E for endpoint), or turning it off as you know.

Thanks for the reply.

Cycling with the Tab key helps a lot.
