inserting image into autocad

Hi,

Whats the difference btwn attatching an image as a xref and copy pasting? Also is the only difference the type of path i choose for my image have to do with tracking the image? Either way if i send it to someone i would need to send it as a etransmit file?

thanx

If you paste in an image and the resulting object is an OLE object, then the image is embedded in the DWG file.

The downside to that is poor quality, printing issues, and other things.

Generally there are less problems when you attach an image and send it along for the ride.

... and always use ETRANSMIT command to send files: it remembers more often that you what all needs to be included for the recipient of your file(s).
