can autocad lt reduce the size of a drawing

I have some products that I make that a customer has asked if it would be possible to have them reduced by 50% is there any way anyone knows how I can do this quickly without having to draw them again.

you could always try the SCALE command, maybe the clue is in the name.

.9 would be pointless and imperceptible
.8 is to fit a little better than .9
.7 is just wierd
.6 would be a little larger than .5
.5 would be half
.4 would be .4
.3 would be 1/3
.2 would be one fifth
.1 would be one tenth

Good Luck, see the one in the middle (1/2). More than one
way to whack a cat.

Hi @ameenoxford

Welcome to the Autodesk Community.

If your files have been worked on by multiple users and in different releases I normally recommend cleaning up your file. After running the below steps Iʻve seen a lot of files decrease in size in a noticeable difference.

  1. Run RECOVERALL, at the command line and select drawing, save drawing and close.
  2. Run RECOVER, at the command line and select drawing.
  3. (-)PURGE > Regapps > Enter>No
  4. (-)PURGE>ALL> Enter>No
  5. AUDIT> Yes
  6. PURGE > Select Purge nested items> Select Automatically purge orphaned data > Purge All
  7. (-)SCALESEDIT
  8. CTRL+A > OVERKILL (Warning: use this command with caution, running the command modifies your geometry by deleting objects you may need. Save a copy of the original file in case of any unwanted changes. )
  9. Close and Save newly purged file (ex. CLEANED_file)
  10. Apply workflow.

After cleaning up the file you can also use the WBLOCK command to export the specific information that you would want to send to a client or a co-worker. Let me know if that helps with your question.

Delete half the content of your DWG file is a good place to start.

Were you able to try anything suggested in the thread?
