cadraster files and acad lt 2000/2002

we have aerial photos and would like to import the photo(s)
onto acad file(s) and we don't know the procedure. do we need an add-on or is "2000lt/2002lt" able to do this?

If the intent is to bring the files in as images, you could try INSERTOBJ
command in LT: remember to right click on the image, select OLE Quality, and
tell AutoCAD LT what kind of picture it is from the list provided.

If you want to turn the information in those files into AutoCAD entities,
then you need Raster to Vector software: CADOVERLAY from Autodesk is such a
product.
