autocad 2009 LT

i am working with a pipe & duct job with autocad 2009 LT, but i cannot see certain text ie:duct sizes, etc; that another eng can see with his computer & he's using 2006 LT version. what do i need to do to enable my computer/version so i can see what he can?
NEED HELP ASAP!!!

Cannot see? what does that mean.

Also, if you both share the same font files, or settle on core fonts
instead, many text issues disappear. Sounds like you both don't all have the
same fonts.

I have seen some LCD monitors (low cost) refuse to display small
text/items that are only a few pixels in size. What happens when you
zoom in to the "missing" items?
