using AutoCAD LT 2011. I like the feature whereby I can 'hover' over a
polyline vertex and then select 'delete'. Neat. However, when I
offset a polyline, the new polyline always has about 10,000 vertices and I'd
like to simplify it. Even with the 'hover' feature it will take me until
Christmas to simplify the offset polyline. Is there some way to 'weed'
the polyline vertices - that is, eliminate many at once rather than
one-at-a-time? I've tried holding down 'Ctrl', 'Shift', and 'Alt' when
selecting vertices - no joy - no multiple select that I've been able to find.
Otherwise, is there some sort of system variable (or some other trick) that
I'm not aware of that will keep me from generating so many vertices on the
offset polyline? Thanks.
