Notes feature (Civil 3D and LT)

Hello all,

In my office we have people using 2012 Civil 3D and 2012 LT.

We have been using the 'notes' feature from Civil 3D becuase it is the only way we have found to make notes in a file and have them still align to viewports with differing rotations after being Xref'd. (If my description isn't clear on why we are using notes, let me know and I can try to clarify)

Question 1: Is there a better way to do this that I am not aware of?

Question 2: It doesn't appear that this feature ('notes') existis in LT, am I missing it?

Question 3: If it doesn't exist in LT, any suggestions on what our office should do as a workaround?

Thanks all in advance,

Rene

Consider posting in the CIVIL forum, not here, and asking your peers there how they would do it in plain AutoCAD since it not a feature there either:

I posted in both just in case a LT user has had to come up with a workaround.

Thanks for the reply.

They replied:

"...the Notes feature does not exist in AutoCAD LT. That is a Civil 3D feature..."
