There was 95, 97, 98, 2000, 2000i, 2002.
Since 2000i should have been 2001, they are probably due to skip a
year. But skipping a year does not increase revenue... So I really
don't know.
Finding a good reason to upgrade is the problem I have. I can do what I
need to do with LT 98 so why get 200x? I bought LT 2000 when it first
came out but quickly found that was easier to continue using 98. I use
2000 mostly as a file filter to turn 2000 files into LT 98 files.
I guess if you need to read 2000 DWG files you should go for it. If you
have no other compelling reason, stick with LT 97 and you may be able to
save the cost of an upgrade when LT 2003 or LT XP comes out.
