Moving object causes dimension problems

Hi all,

hope someone can help. when selecting a drawing and moving it somewhere else on the screen most of the dimensions move with the object but on certain occasions one end of the dimension line will be left behind and stay in its original position, no longer attached to the drawing.
does anyone else get this and is there anything i can do to stop this happening?

its autocad lt 2005

thanks in advance

The dimension points/ends need to be snapped to the object(s) they are
dimensioning in order to move: if they are not, aka floating nearby, what
you see is the result.

This is controlled by DIMASSOC variable, explore it in Help.

the dimensions were located on the lines using the snap function.
most move with the object but usually one is left behind and usually at one end. thus giving the wrong size
