LT 2000 Anyway to count number of blocks?

I have a bubble pointer block I and inserting numerous times. And was hoping there is a way to count them and even get the attribute which is the number as well.
Anyone know if this can be done using DIESEL string commands?

Not sure about DIESEL, but check out QSELECT and ATTEXT (assuming those are
both in 2000...it's been awhile).

Yes both Qtext and Attext are available.
How could I loop through the drawing using these?

You can't really, since it's dialog-based. To do what you want quickly
requires full AutoCAD, with more programming options (and commands like
BCOUNT).

Although ATTEXT might give counts, or at least a format that can be counted
easily.
