Hi Paul,

To insert a raster image within AutoCAD LT ,use one of these three methods:

  • Copy the raster image to the Clipboard from another application and paste it into AutoCAD LT.
  • On the Insert menu, click OLE Object > Create From File, and browse to the raster image file.
  • Start with a drawing template that already has the raster image in it.

You need to open the image in a photo program, copy and paste from there.
You can't go directly from windows explorer or you will get the outline.

Thanks. i did open my jpg and even tiff file in Picasa photo viewer. and Paste Special into CAD. it works okay, but i am worried about scale?
if map or something we dont need scale, but how about real site plan or something else (if we dont have a CAD file)?
i am really interesting fiff file into CAD with real scale.
