How do you rotate a view in paper space (an mview)

Since mvsetup and dview are not available in LT.....

The UCS_Z_90_Plan_Current works while in model...... but when you switch back to paper, it rotates back to the way it started

Go to a paperspace layout and double click on the Viewport you want to
rotate, so you're in the Viewport.
At the command line type in UCS enter, then type Z enter.
Select a point on the bottom right of your base line then select a point to
the left of your base line then press enter. your X axis should now be
aligned with the view you want.
Now in the command line type Plan then press enter twice.
This will rotate your View so that your UCS is now right angles to the
screen (same as your view), you just need to scale the view port.
OR
You can rotate an entire view within a layout viewport by changing the
UCS and using the PLAN command.
With the UCS command, you can rotate the XY plane at any angle around
the Z axis. When you enter the PLAN command, the view rotates to match
the orientation of the XY plane.

Right to Left is not intuative. Without testing here is there reason why not left-right?

Thanks for actually explaining the process. My problem is that now the ucs in the modelspace is turned. Is there a way to only change the UCS for the viewport and not the modelspace? I don't want the UCS turned for the whole drawing, just the viewport.

Thanks,
Cary

Command: MVSETUP |option> Align |option> Rotate

click north to south or east to west etc... pending on the direction you would like to orient you view, best of luck.

Yes that is true, but hopefully this will help someone who does have the full version, since this page is all I could find, I put the answer here for any one else that did not know, like I did not know!

I admire your tenacity to help others but it can also be useful to inform those who may come across this in the LT Forum that this feature is not available to them thru at least the 2011 release.

Solution:

- Create a view with MView and Polygonal with 4 points

- Rotate the total View on user asked angle

- Create new square

- Replace the 4 points on the square

- Remove square

- Ready

Well this works for me
