HELP! - I want my Quck UNDO back

We have recently started using LT2005 and the most annoying thing is that with LT2000 the U (undo) command was really good because it ignored zooms and undid the last real command. I suspect that this is some variable setting in AutoCAD but I cannot find it and its driving all of us CRAZY.
If anyone can help we will be most grateful.

No fix. It did the same in LT2000. -- Dean Saadallah Add-on products for LT http://www.pendean.com/lt --

I agree with you. I was also using LT2000 and it did NOT undo zoom, pan, etc. Or maybe it did and I found a way around it. I also know that the full version of 2002 I used in school did the same thing (as it's doing now) and I'm sure we found a way to turn that off, too. And now with 2005, I was surprised to see it undoing zoom, pan, etc. I know for a FACT that it wasn't the last time I used AC2000LT (which was only 2 weeks ago) that it didn't do this. So someone... anyone... there has to be a way.
Thanks much,
Melissa

It does not matter what you did four versions ago unfortunately, even if it
was last week. Sorry to bear bad news, things changed, good or bad. Autodesk
finally listened in 2006, a nice first step at least.

Use of Views and working inside locked viewports are a few ways to overcome
some of the issues you note. Others may have more solutions, you can try a
search while you wait.
