Grip Select Hangs

I am running AutoCAD LT 2008 and have started having a problem with a 2 to 3 second hang time when I select the grips on an object. The mouse just freezes up for a few seconds. It doesn't happen when I am in a command and select the object because the grips are not activated then. Any idea why this is happening? I have upgraded my graphics driver and reinstalled AutoCAD, with no improvement.

This happens in all files, or just a select few?
Can you repeat in a new file with one line drawn?

did you resolve this problem?

I have the same with Autocad LT 2009 on Windows 7 Ultimate and Nvidia GeForce 9300M GS video card.

It's so annoying.

Is your LAYER palette open, or minimized?

Does LT2009 have selection cycling? And is it on?
