Hi,
We have been suffering Fatal error messages from the two computers in our network that have Autocad 2014 LT service pack 1 installed. We haven't experienced this problem in the computer with Autocad 2013 LT.
The message shown is as follows:
FATAL ERROR: Unhandled Access Violation Reading 0xa564555f Exception at fcfc58abh
Both computer are running Windows 7 Professional.
Graphic cards: Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 Ti
The problem seems to happen only when we access files located in our server's folders. If we copy the same file to the local hard drive, Autocad works fine and it doesn't crash.
We have tried adjusting graphic card settings: windows aero on & off, hardware acceleration on & off, but Fatal Error message continues showing.
Best regards and thank you in advance.
Hello from France
Welcome to the Autodesk/AutoCAD Forums !
Please could you confirm that you have NO problem if the DWG is loaded from LOCAL hard drive !?
Please could you open your DWG with RECOVER mode to check if something is dammaged inside your DWG ?

Hello from Puerto Rico.
Thank you for your response. Yes, files work fine from local drive but cause Autocad to crash when accessed from server. We have tried recover and audit but it didn't work either.
Best regards.
Hi, thank you for your response.
We started to experience this problem after we moved old files to a new server. Our former server ran Mac's OS X 10.6 and we didn't have any problem. The new one runs Mac's OS X Mavericks. We are connected trough a 1000mbps Ethernet connection. I'll ask our IT specialist about the details of the connection and I'll let you know.
All Autocad settings are stored locally. We use the server for accessing project's files only.
Our IT specialist suggested that the problem could be related with file's path exceeding Windows 256 characters limit. We use a lot of nested folders.
Thank you in advance. Best regards.
Correct, none of our workstations are Mac, only server is. Our IT specialist just sent additional information:
I made a mistake, our former server ran OS X 10.5 Leopard, not 10.6
Our current connection is as follows:
The Ethernet connection is gigabit and the shares are served out using AFP and SMB protocols with an ACL list that has FULL CONTROL including delete.
Regards.
Hi @ akshara,
It'll help if you provide more information on how you got the fatal error issue. This will help when providing suggestions for you to try.
Some questions:
Is this happening with all of your drawings or only a specific few?
What OS are you running AutoCAD LT 2014?
Is this only happen for you? or multiple people?
