Export points as text or ascii file

Can AutoCAD LT 2009 export points as an ASCII or text file retaining the XYZ attributes? If so how do you do it? Edited by: montanorugebregt on May 6, 2009 5:15 PM

Only if each of those points was a block: are they?

thank you so much for the reply.
The points are not blocks. How can I make them a block for each point?
Could you tell me the steps I need to follow just for one point, how to create a block, then how to export it.
Thank you

it's not that quick.

You create a block using BLOCK command, with an
ATTRIBUTE: content is a POINT of course. All three items are explained in
Help.

You INSERT the block at every location you have a
point.

ATTEXT is the command you can use to start setting
up your spreadsheet "text" file. Also explained in Help. It requires some setup.
Use the OBJECTS selection option.

So if I understand this correctly ... I can go to cusotmize user interface select geometry x,y,and z points, click on each point, and see each X, Y, and Z point but cannot export that information out to a file for multiple selections? In LT of course.
