Exploding Text in LT

Does LT 2000/2000i have a tool to be able to explode regular text (not
mtext). ACAD 2000 has the express tools that accomplish this and I was
wondering if LT did too, or if anyone knows about a plug in for it.

No such tool in LT, and no such plug-in.

You can however do it the long way: set up an HPGL plotter
(PLOTTERMANAGER>HP>7475), plot the text to file. Then get one of the free
HPGL2DXF programs out there and bring it back in:

Try this trick:
Save the text as WMF, type WMFOUT at the command line.
Then simply bring it back with WMFIN.
Now the text can be exploded into single letters.
And thats not enough, you can explode the letters as well.

Works only on shx text, not true type text :o(

Do a WMFOUT of the text, then a WMFIN of the file created. Explode
the WMF block and rescale it.

It should work on TTFs as well. I have done it many times. It is
very useful when developing logos etc. for title blocks.

It will work with TT if the width is other than exactly 1. It can be
1.00001 or 0.999999, just not 1.
