Distorted Hatch

In one of the files I'm working on, the gravel hatch has simply distorted itself with any new creation. A correct pattern can be created in another file and pasted in without distortion, placed side by side with the distorted hatch. Matching the properties of the correct hatch to the distorted hatch does not fix it, but matching properties from the distorted hatch to the correct one will distort the correct one. The .pat file is fine and works perfectly well in other files.

Any ideas??

I had this happen once on a customers drawing. Basically there was
corruption in the drawing. To fix the issue wblock out only the good
parts of the drawing and then inserted the wblock back into a blank
drawing. Being selective about what you place in the wblock will be
important here.
