Dimension an Angled Line

Well it has finally happened, the side of the part is 30 deg off horizantal. I would like to dimension the length of that side in line with that 30 deg alignment. Between my AutoCAD LT 2013 Help, Google, and this forum Search I have been been unable to discover how to do it. In the display window in the Dimension Style Manager window it shows the angled dimension I would like to do but no mater what I click or select my extension lines only extend verticle or horizontal and the dimension is equivalent to their verticle or horizontal displacement. I'm sure my searches are simply not using the right terminology. All ideas, suggestions, comments any wish to offer will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, K.
