Customized toolbar - alliases for making a block with the name of attached

I made a custimized toolbar button to make, from a selection of lines and an attribute block, a block at point 0,0,0. Now I want to rename this block automatically to te name of the attached attribute. In the macro I filled in ^C^C_rename. but I have to type in the name of the old added block with a random A$390453904534 name, and fill in the new name. how can I finish this macro to rename the old block name to the name of the added attribute name?

You cannot automate a random naming process like that.

Why not make the block correctly in the first place with
-BLOCK command (note the dash) and name it correctly the first time upon
creation?

Hello Dean,

It is not really necessary to name the block like the attached attribute but it would be an extra handy feature. It is quit a lot of work when we have to name every single block, and there are a lot. It is only a handy feature to find the specific block back. For a small amount of blocks is your solution handy.
Thanks for your comment.

Kind regards,

Glad it helped: if you have access to full AutoCAD, you could do what you
seek with Lisp.
