Can you import images to trace them?

Is there a way to import image files and then trace them so you have a .dwg file? I am using autocad LT 2012. Thank you!

EXTERNALREFERENCES command is all about referencing everything LT can use, be it DWG or PDF or raster images etc.

Or you can just drag the image and drop it over your open DWG file in AutoCAD/LT2012.
