Can I run AutoCad LT 2005 on windows 7 Pro computer running in the XP mode?

My windows XP computer crashed on which I was running AutoCad LT 2005. Can I install and run it on a windows 7 Pro computer running in the XP mode? (the virtual XP mode)

Welcome to the Autodesk Forums!

I would think that that would be one of the combinations that would work of all the queries related to installing old software on newer OS.

Though keep in mind that Win 7 was not even a glimmer when LT 2005 was released. Load it up and try.

What could you lose?

Works fine for most, fails miserably for others: buying a 'fixit' tool called LONGBOW seems to work for everyone that has done it that way based on what I've seen being reported around here.

Or run your OLD ACAD LT 2005 in a VMWare with Win 2000 + SP4 or with Win XP Pro SP1/SP2 ...
