Are you sure it's not a missing Xref you are looking for? AutoCAD when starting up loves to tell you what it finds and does not find as a DWG file is being opened, tap F2 and scroll/read.

Otherwise, open a DWG file in LT2011, zoom extents, SAVE, close, and post here: we all have LT2012 too and can look at your file.

Private message at the top of the Forum page will be where to request that.

My Windows XP does not recognize the Compression method that you are using so I am unable to open your Drawing file or Bitmap.

Try purging the file or saving the Bitmap down to something smaller to see if you can post those.

You may want to try RECOVER on the drawing file to see if that cleans it up for you.

Or type XREF from the Command line os Dean suggested and see what may or may not be there.

Detach the XREF's if thet are there to make the Drawing file smaller.

Save your screenshot as a PNG or JPB, not the oversized BMP, then you can post it without compression.

I take it you are using a MAC and forgot to mention it?

In LT, turn on PROXYSHOW and PROXYGRAPHICS variables, and turn off PROXYNOTICE variable (look them all up in HELP): those are not "problems", that's an informational message letting you know your file contains objects not designed for use with LT.

Ask the file creator to "EXPORT TO AUTOCAD" those files for you then ask them to resend the DWG files to you, or you can try to do the same (after you do all the above I mentioned) with -EXPORTTOAUTOCAD command (note there is a dash in the name of the command). This does not always work since you did not create those objects in LT.

All of these tips are very important for creating eye-catching content but the call to action tip really stands out because everyone can do more of that and often it gets overlooked. Also bringing valuable information will go far too and will help that readers will not only stay on your page, but come back. Great post !!
