Batting linetype not printing

We have a number of layers pre-set up to display the batting linetype at various scales:-

However when printing a "25mm" thick version of the batting linetype drawing it prints as a straight line. Our other scales are fine.

The linetype views correctly in model and paper space just not when printing.

Thanks

Scott

'batting' is one of the worst linetypes in AutoCAD, always has been, always will be until it is revamped.

It goes 'straight' if there is an object scale problem or a viewport scale problem, it takes a lot of effort to fix it: easiest to use PROPERTIES command on the object.

Post a sample DWG if you get stuck.

OP you may want to consider creating a hatch pattern instead, wherein the scale of the default is one unit (eg one inch). Then as long as it is not annotative and is scaled to match the width of the cavity, and is oriented in the correct direction, it should display correctly in all scales...

If by some odd chance my nattering was useful -- that's great, glad to help. But if it actually solved your issue, then please mark my solution as accepted 🙂
