BLOCK INSERT

After inserting my window block ,which is 12" wide, it asks for the rotation angle. The window is 4' wide, therefore, I need to expand the scale by four. When I insert 4 it expands the window by four in both directions, X and Y. I need to expand it by four in the X direction and one in the Y direction. But it doesn't allow me to do this. I have checked and unchecked the Scale box in the Insert Block Dialog Box.

On your pop-up, uncheck the box for Scale, then enter your desired X and Y
scales.
Or watch your command line and specifically enter X or Y to change the
scale.

Basic AutoCAD kind of stuff, tap that Help file to explore, post back if you
get stuck.

I uncheck the Scale box and only the X scale can be entered. The Y box is grayed out and cannot be edited.

Post the Block.
Have you tried Exploding it to see what options you have then? Might be a block within a block.
This happened to me the other day and I can't for the life of me remember why or what I did.
Did you also uncheck the Scale Uniformly at the bottom of the dialog?
