Autosave and changing drawings

Hi there, can someone please help me sort out an issue a couple of my users have been having for a week with AutoCAD LT 2008.

The issue is every time autosave activates they are not able to open a new drawing or change drawings until they save in there current drawing.

As we don't always want to save the current drawings plans are being saved when they should not as a result of this problem.

You can't just close the file? quit AutoCAD? turn off autosave, or set it to
a higher number?

Yes this is indeed an option, however the AutoSave is a favorite with some users who forget to save on a regular basis and as this issue has only been occurring for the last couple of weeks there must be a cause and therefore a solution

Possibly a Java update, we have 3 other LT users who are not affected however.

No, that would not do it.

What's different between these folks and the other LT users? If need be,
they all need to match 100%.
