Autocad LT 2015 Layout related Crash

Hello,

In the last 2 days since I upgraded my Autocad LT 2014 to 2015 I've recieved two crashes, both have been related to work on layouts.

When first crash occured I had just switched to layout from the model and was adjusting placement of an Xref on paperspace when it crashed.

Second time I had just moved & copied a layout and clicked to switch the new layout to current on the layout tab when it crashed.

Would like to know if anyone else have experienced crash when working layouts or using the layout tab.

I've been able to recreate my drawings from temporary svĀ§ files so no harm has come yet.

Signature, sincerely... //Adam

Hello

+1 with Pendean : it's "crazy" to update ALL PCs to 2015 !

You must always upgrade ONE PC , test a few weeks and if it's OK ! you can upgrade all ...

Have you installed the latest ATI drivers for your different ATI graphic cards ?

Have you looked at this :

Thanks all. But we know better!
We tested AutoCAD LT 2015 with several users for over 2 months in advance of installing it in all machines, but at that time we didn't experience these issues (we had others and we resolved them in advance).
I reached to Autodesk and following their advice resolved the issue. Here's what they suggested:

I understand that you have several users with AutoCAD LT 2015 that experience frequent crashes while using the program.

I am sorry to hear that you are having this trouble. I looked up the crash reports from your company (via email domain name) and it looks like you guys are running into an issue that involves the new 'New Tab' feature in AutoCAD 2015. Our development team is currently investigating a fix. What should work around the crash for now is changing two variables:

STARTUP = 0

NEWTABMODE = 0

I do see one crash report specifically for you and it is different from the others. It doesn't say exactly what the issue is but suggests that you may have a problem with the .NET Framework and Visual C++ in Windows 7. Also, your video driver shows a date of 12/8/2009, so that needs to be updated. Here is the link for AMD:

http://support.amd.com/en-us/download

To reinstall .NET and C++, go through Programs and Features and uninstall everything that starts with "Microsoft .NET" and "Microsoft Visual C++" and then download and install all of the following:

Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.1
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40773

Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable (x86)
http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=5638

Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable (x86)
http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=5582

Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable (x86)
http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=8328

Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Update 4 Redistributable (x86)
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679

I hope this helps. Please let me know how it works out.
