Autocad LT 2007 Plotter/printer configuration on Win7

Hello, I need assistance with configuring plotter/printer on newly upgraded laptop using Autocad LT 2007 with Win7.  The printers that are re-installed are not available under that program.  Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Welcome to the Autodesk Forums!

From the Commmand line: OPTIONS, Plot and Publish Tab, uncheck Hide System Printers in the middle right of the dialog.

Do you have your printers available now?

Hi Charles, yes, some are available but not the plotter and the hide printer box wasn't checked.  Any other suggestions.  Thank you!  Renae

Are the plotters shown in the Windows printers list  (Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Devices and Printers) ? If not, you will need to install the Win 7 drivers for the physical plotters you have, or if you have a HP plotter, the generic HPGL plotter driver often produces a better plot.

Have you gone thru the Printer/Plotter Wizard within AutoCAD to create a PC3 file for the Plotter in question?

LT2007 is not supported for use in Windows7. Keep this in mind: it means no one out there is going to fix an inherent problem if you find one.

1. Which printers are you trying to use, what drivers are installed, what driver versions are installed?
2. Post a screenshot of your OPTIONS command's PLOT/publish tab.
3. Post a screenshot of your PLOT command's pop-up with the Printer/Plotter name pulldown fully extended (Win7 has a ASnipping Tool for this task).
4. Post a screenshot of your Windows Control Panel's Devices and Printers pop-up.

if you skip any of the 4-items requested above you'll just prolong the process of trying to find a solution (if there is a remote solution for this).
