Autocad 2015 lT copy and paste - changes object to single line

Hi,

I reeallly hope someone can help me!

I've recently installed autocad 2015LT and when copying an object from one dwg file to another it seems to flatten the object into lots of single lines over the top of one another.

For example, one of the objects is the plan view of a 'bin' - its a rectangle with diagonal lines crossing it. When I paste it into another dwg file it appears on the screen as single lines over the top of one another. Almost as if i've changed the view to be viewed a '0' degrees

Any ideas gratefully received.

Matt

Sounds like the UCS or the view is different in one drawing or the other, before you copy and paste try typing the following in both drawings each line followed by pressing the enter key

UCS

W

PLAN

C

and see if it makes a difference

Steven,

Thanks for replying. Thankfully I have literally just worked out the same.

It was weird as I rarely use the UCS views - must have clicked on something accidently.
