I have a newly downloaded version of AutoCAD LT 2013 that will not save files in older formats for autocad 2004 and 2007. When trying to save the user gets the following error message "One or more objects in the drawing cannot be saved to the specified format. The operation was not completed and no file was created."
I did some searching in the discussion groups and it appears that this is a known/common issue with autcad lt 2013. Does anyone know how to correct this issue? Is there a work around to saving it in a format that older autocad applications can view?

DWG file format change. Try -EXPORTTOAUTOCAD (note the preceding hyphen)
There is a thread around here about that but didn't find it in a quick scan of the forum. It essentially cripples the DWG if you have to bring it back to 2013, though.

It's aknown and common issue with ALL versions of AutoCAD if the file contains AEC content and you are saving down to a lower DWG format.
As DJ noted above, use the -EXPORTTOAUTOCAD command (note there is a dash in the name) to explode AEC content in your file to generic AutoCAD object types.
