AutoCAD not seeing mapped drive

AutoCAD LT 2007 on Windows 8 - I've mapped a drive to the server under drive letter Z:, then I tried B: just for grins. The computer sees the drive, but when you go to open or save in AutoCAD the drive is not there in the tree. I've also used MKLINK in CMD to create a virtual folder, and ACAD sees the folder, but won't open it or save to it.

Any ideas? This is driving me nuts! I really appreciate any help on this one!

Welcome to the Autodesk Forums!

LT 2007 is not designed for Win 8 so what you are experiencing in the word of the day is likely a "glitch".

Under OPTIONS, Files tab have you tried adding the drive to the Support file Search Path or Automatic Save File Location for another grin or three?

Wondering if that will help the 2007 see the drive.

How about a SaveAs then looking for the drive?

Closed and re-opened CAD after making changes to it perhaps?
